John Titford - “Ey up mi duck!”: A history of British accents and dialects.
Would you have understood your ancestors when they spoke? An in-depth look at the development
of the English language and its accents and dialects, complete with examples around the country
and snippets of Anglo-Saxon, Chaucer and Shakespeare.

Karen Bali - ‘Tracing Living Relatives for Family Research’
Covering the methods and sources used in descendant tracing (i.e. tracing forward from a common ancestor). How to trace relatives you’ve lost touch with and finding ones you have never met.

Tim Saxon - I’ll just make a photocopy of that
We all do it (photocopying) but do we really know and understand the thoughts lying behind Copyright. What about plagarism? Does this come under the same banner?

Dominic Johnson - Palaeography
Reading the writing of the past is important to not only professional searches but to family and local historians alike. Apart from the handwriting itself words may appear totally alien to our eyes with letter missing, extra letters present, letters use ‘incorrectly’, squiggles and straight lines that appear to have meaning but just what do they mean?
