I offer a range of family history research services, including country-wide online research and traditional archive-based research for the North East of England.
Cameo Family History was born out of my passion for family history. Following a career in chemical information and regulations which honed my research skills, I have gained the Higher Certificate and Diploma in Genealogy from the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. I am a Member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists and an AGRA Associate.
Based in the north of County Durham, I have ready access to a range of archives across North East England including the Northumberland Archives at Woodhorn, the Durham County Record Office, the Tyne and Wear Archives (including Newcastle and Sunderland), North Yorkshire County Record Office, Northallerton and the University of Durham Library and Special Collections, including the records of The Diocese of Durham.
All projects, large and small, are undertaken with the same degree of care and thoroughness, following a free initial assessment to determine the likelihood of success of any research.
