AGRA are proud to have been awarded the Julian Bickersteth Memorial Medal for 2018 by the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS). This prestigious award is made in recognition of notable and exemplary contributions to family history studies. The medal was received by Sharon Grant, chair of AGRA.
The presentation was made by the Rt Hon the Earl of Lytton (President of IHGS) on the occassion of AGRA's 50th Anniversary Reception and Dinner at Inner Temple on 12 May 2018.
On behalf of the IHGS, Dr Richard Baker commented "It is most appropriate that the award is made in the year in which AGRA celebrates its half-century as the professional body for genealogy."
