Hello, Chris Walsh here.

I am a qualified genealogist who is based in Brecon, Mid Wales and I offer a professional genealogy service.

I successfully completed the Higher Certificate in Genealogy through the Institute of Heraldic & Genealogical Studies (IHGS) in 2024. I am also an associate of AGRA and a member of the Society of Genealogists.

Living in Mid Wales, I have access to the Powys, Glamorgan and Hereford Archives, so can undertake localised look ups, along with helping you to research your family history and or building your family tree.

I have been researching my own family history for over 30 years, finding relatives from Lancashire, Cheshire, Birmingham, Cornwall, Ireland and Wales. The IHGS course allowed me to developing and hone my genealogical skills across a ranges of keys sources from GRO certificates, to census returns, wills & probate records, heraldry to records of the manor estates and the law courts.

I am familiar with the construction of family trees and have a passion for family history research and assisting people to tell their family story.

I also hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) & BSc (Hons) Degree in Social Science with the Open University.
