Clare Humphreys Vicentini B.A. (Hons) M.A. PG Cert. Gen.
Spire Genealogy is my family history and house history research business based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
I hold a degree and a masters degree in History as well as a postgraduate genealogy qualification and many years experience of family history research. I am on the National Archives' list of approved Independent Researchers.
Services range from the production of a fully-researched family history to a visit to a local archive on your behalf; the transcription and research of an old document or the history of your house.
Based in Salisbury in south Wiltshire I am centrally placed to access archives for Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset records as well as The National Archives and other London based institutions. I also work extensively online and provide services for clients throughout the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.
I have had a passion for history all my life and this continues in my work helping people to find out more about their own family history. Please feel free to contact me with your queries. I look forward to hearing from you and finding out what we can discover.
It gives me great pleasure to highly recommend Clare as a Genealogist. I am based in Australia and in researching my family tree encountered a stumbling block with an ancestor who came from Salisbury, Wiltshire. Not only did Clare work hard to solve many of the problems associated with the search for information, she did so with a graciousness of spirit. She co-operated at every step of the project and kept us informed of developments as they unfolded. As a result, the puzzle is now largely complete which has opened up new insights into our ancestor. Thank you for taking the time to listen and fully understand our brief. You were friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and conscientious. The report demonstrated a phenomenal level of detail and yet was presented in a really readable way showing us how the jigsaw pieces fitted together and bringing to life those who had lived here before. We now feel really connected to the house and the village. L. & P.F.
