I have been undertaking family and local history research professionally in Norfolk for more than 30 years and have been a full member of AGRA since 1986. I am an English History graduate of the University of East Anglia, where I stayed on for several years for a period of post-graduate research working on the East Anglian legal profession of the C15th. This provided me with a sound research training and enabled me to make historical research my chosen career.
Over the years, I have built up my expertise in all kinds of palaeography, from medieval to modern, and have worked on a wide variety of local and family history projects for many different clients. Apart from my private clients, I have acted as record agent in Norfolk for the major national genealogical research firms, undertaking all their Norfolk research. My speciality is Latin translation, deciphering difficult handwriting and transcribing or summarising old documents. However, I am happy to undertake research commissions of any period.
