All of us have a unique family history—the genealogy services I offer reflect that, being fully tailored to the needs of each client.

A little bit about Heather...

☑️ Graduate (with Distinction) of both the Pharos Advanced and Intermediate Family History Skills and Strategies certificates.

☑️ Honours degree in librarianship.

☑️ Broad expertise in family history research—both online and archival. I have been researching my personal family history for over forty years.

☑️ Strong knowledge of Berkshire genealogy and the wider Thames Valley area.

☑️ Berkshire born and bred—I live within five miles of my birthplace and childhood home.

☑️ A regular volunteer with the Society of Genealogists’ Events Team.

Heather’s genuine and shared enthusiasm in researching my Berkshire paternal ancestors in the late 1600s/early 1700s has resulted in outcomes which have far exceeded my expectations. Meticulously researching, then delving even deeper and with true dedication, she has unearthed such amazing details.

From our initial Zoom meeting and discussion about what I hoped might be achieved, it was clear that Heather was someone who was willing to listen, able to advise and, as details emerged, be flexible in altering the scope of the ongoing project. She was easy to work with and enabled me to search different aspects whilst always making astute observations and providing guidance. Her ability to summarise complex findings into clearly written and understandable reports, always fully contextualised and source referenced, has been of unique benefit to my own long-standing family history research.

Certainly, without Heather’s expertise in professional genealogy, it would not have been possible to discover unexpected details of even earlier generations of paternal ancestors, spanning around eighty years and across three different counties. After all, who could have expected to find paternal great grandfatherx7 mentioned in the relevant Will (1671) as the ‘Child or Children now in my Wifes wombe’ – perhaps Heather might! I have so enjoyed the experience and have no hesitation in recommending Heather to others.
