I am a genealogist and family historian based in Northamptonshire. I started researching my own family tree when my mother passed away, and like many people became curious when it was too late to ask any living relatives questions.

This led to my passion for family history research and I started taking various recognised courses to help me research better, which I continue to do. Over 15 years later, I am still as passionate as when I started, and have helped many people with their family trees, find lost relatives including living relatives or help on a specific research brick wall.

My quest has involved finding secret families, half-siblings who didn’t know the other existed, quite a few bigamists, a murderer who was executed and a line of insanity in a specific family branch.

I volunteer my time to help in various projects, including The Census Detectives, The Utah Cold Case Coalition, FindMe2020 and Tulsa Massacre Victims Identification Project.

Professionally, I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), and former Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at The Society of Genealogists. An Ancestry ProGenealogist contractor, and have researched for the PBS Finding Your Roots TV show.

Continual professional development is essential as a practising genealogist, and I have studied with many leading family history educational establishments to develop my knowledge and understanding of this fascinating subject. Having already attained the Intermediate Certificate in Family History Skills and Strategies from Pharos Tutors and the Society of Genealogists, and completed ProGen 57 Study Group.
