Lincs Ancestry specialises in researching your… Lincolnshire Ancestry! Located ten minutes from the iconic Lincoln Cathedral and having access to all the major Libraries, County Archives and Museums, I am ideally placed to help you uncover more on your family story.
My knowledge of the County, its history and geography is extensive having lived and worked in Lincolnshire for over 50 years. After taking early retirement from my previous life as a Finance Director, I am now following my passion which is social and local history. The forensic skills acquired during my career have stood me in good stead whilst researching complex and challenging projects.
As a student of the IHGS, (Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies), the Higher Certificate was achieved in 2020 followed by the Diploma in Genealogy in 2022. These courses not only demonstrated to me the wealth of records and documents our ancestors have left us but also as importantly, how to locate and then interpret them.
I have been actively researching for over ten years and broken down many a stubborn brick-wall for clients. During this period I have also had a number of articles published in local and national publications on both family and house histories.
Combined with my earlier professional training, location and passion for social and local history, I believe I can help you to discover more on your own journey into Lincolnshire’s rich past.
