I am from North Yorkshire with strong ancestral lines throughout Yorkshire.

I conduct family history research predominantly in Northern England, Yorkshire is where I specialise and I have expert knowledge of the western part of North Yorkshire - the large area covering the Yorkshire Dales, a historically complex genealogical area.

I am passionate about using local history with family history, this provides the exploration of who our ancestors were, why they lived in a particular place and how they were part of their community at a given time.

A branch of my research is 'Exploring Memories Through Family History'; I work with individuals and their families who are affected by dementia and memory loss to create books which assist in meaningful conversations and bring comfort to the individual.
