I am based in Liverpool, and have an extensive knowledge of local records and history.  I have a great deal of experience reserching Irish records, and have traced individuals' onward journeys to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I have some experience of Jewish genealogy in Liverpool.

One of my areas of interest is education in Liverpool; i have built up data on schools and teachers in Liverpool, and continue to develop this aspect of local history.

Rachel gave us so much help when we were setting up our family tree. She took us step by step through the process of getting our DNA profiles and also showed us how to find our ancestors from the websites. We would not have had a clue how to access the information without help from Rachel. We found the whole process fascinating.

Thank you Rachel

When we bought our house in Ainsdale we knew it was one of the first houses built in the village but we had no idea of the history of the house.

Rachel was tenacious in uncovering the house’s past, discovering its’ secrets and revealing the interesting life our house has led.

She has produced a really fascinating piece all about the house and, as it was at one time a children’s home, and we have quite a few people stopping as they pass by to look, telling us that they or their parents were born here, we can invite them in, show them around, and now we can give them all the information about its’ past, including the very famous actor who was once one of the orphans living here!

Thanks Rachel. You have really brought our house to life and helped to make it feel like such a lovely home.

I wish to thank Rachel for helping me expand the number of people in my ‘tree’.

Specifically Rachel has found family connections in New Zealand from when my great grandmother emigrated to New Zealand, i had an old letter from 1970's and tried to contact the writer but New Zealand post office returned letter as 'unknown at this address'. So all i had was a name of this person and where she had lived but appeared to have family knowledge. Rachel found after some research that the letter writer was related indeed.

I had asked for this help from a previous genealogist who was based in New Zealand and had basically re typed all the information I gave her, charged her fee and then asked for more money to carry on her search. Not happy at all with that!

Rachel has also put dates of birth and baptism for many relatives from 19th century that I only had approximate dates for, also dates for marriages. Much of my previous information was based on handed down stories but to get all this confirmed or corrected has been extremely satisfying.

I would certainly recommend Rachel to others, in fact I already done so.

Edward
