Cambridge Archives Family History Fair
20th July 2026

AGRA was represented at this event at Ely by volunteers from the East of England Newtwork Group

The free, drop-in event at Cambridgeshire Archives was a great success with a higher turn-out of visitors than expected.

AGRA was one of 10 organisations who had stalls at the event, with the others being Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire Family History Society (CHFHS), Cambridgeshire Collection, Cottenham Village Society, Cambridgeshire Communities Archives Network (CCAN), Cambridgeshire Records Society/Huntingdonshire Local History Society, West Wickham & District Local History Club, March Museum, Haddenham Local History Group and Littleport Local History Society

The Archives team treated visitors and stall-holders to behind-the-scenes tours of the Archives rooms at 2pm and 3pm, with an opportunity to find out more about using the archives and sign up for a free readers-card.

There was a steady flow of people browsing the stalls throughout the afternoon. Helping out on the AGRA stall from the East of England network group were Lisa Constanti, Kelly Cornwell, Karen Cummings, Angela Aldam, Simon Hutchison and Fiona Turnbull. The AGRA stall attracted a lot of interest from visitors and other stall holders alike, and our team were kept busy handing out brochures and talking to people about the organisation throughout the afternoon.
