Clare has been actively researching her own family tree for close to 20 years now and her love for this research prompted her to gain an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies at the University of Strathclyde.  The gaining of genealogical qualifications led her to setting up as a self-employed genealogist and she has been providing genealogical research and training for clients for nearly eight years now.

Her Herefordshire location means she lives within easy reach of and regularly uses Herefordshire Archives and Records Centre and has also used Hereford Cathedral archives.  The research is mainly based in Herefordshire but she also undertakes web- based research for families based in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland as well as some other countries including Belgium. This research ranges from full trees to solving brickwalls. 

Added to this, she has planned, taught and assessed courses in Family History and produced her own teaching resources for these courses.

Training to individuals or groups.

Family histories will be presented as a genealogical report covering all researched relatives, with copies of documents (where permitted by copyright, licensing and/or other restrictions).  A basic genealogical pedigree chart will also be provided.

Clare can also teach individuals or small groups how to start your family history research or how to build on what they already know.  This can range from a talk to a workshop or even a full course.
