Dawn Hutson is a genealogist based in Essex, whilst her specialist areas are London and Essex and Kent - she is willing to research in all other areas of the UK.

Having passed both the Pharos Family History Skills & Strategies Intermediate and Advanced Genealogy Certificates - Dawn now run’s her own genealogist company “DH Genealogy Research”.

With over 20 years of conducting her own family tree research which covers England, Ireland and Canada - she is well experienced. In addition she has helped many others with their own research which has extended to the USA, South Africa and Jamaica. Her approach is friendly and passionate about researching all family history.

Research services cover building family trees, helping with “brick wall” queries, assisting with questions which arise from DNA and any other general queries that you have. She is willing to travel to archives to conduct research. Any family tree question you have is worth asking her.

Dawn is also actively involved in encouraging interest in genealogy within her local community and has established a monthly family history group. The group attracts individuals with all levels of experience and she uses her ability to help guide others in their research.

Alongside her genealogical work, she is employed as a Tax Analyst, a role that involves detailed research, critical analysis and the resolution of complex queries. These skills compliment and support genealogical practice.

As an Associate member of AGRA, her work is carried out in line with recognised professional standards and she is committed to ethical research and the accurate and responsible interpretation of historical records.
