My background is in research and analysis, with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Computing and an MSc in Information Management, alongside the IHGS correspondence course, which I'm currently working through, and years spent researching my own family history.
I work methodically across archives and online sources, checking evidence carefully rather than assuming it, and I set out my findings and sources clearly in writing so clients can see how I reached each conclusion.
I mostly work on cases in the South of England, with some experience in Irish, Canadian, American and Australian records for family lines that lead further afield.
My services include:
Research projects with a defined brief and written report
Family tree creation
Brick wall consultations
Bespoke and ongoing commissions
