I am a professional genealogist and family historian with over 25 year's experience in research and can offer a wealth of assistance or support in many areas: Whether it is a brief 'look-up' or the research into and building of a whole family tree, checking birth, marriage, and death indices, census returns, electoral registers, army career information, newspapers, transcribing old documents or even just 'a fresh pair of eyes' to help you when you have hit a brick wall.
Finding out about your ancestors isn't just about names and dates. It is about discovering where you have come from and about bringing their characters and lives to "life", often discovering a sense of belonging in the process. Genealogy is now very popular and although there is a wealth of information becoming available electronically, research is not always easy and straight forward. There are many mistakes that can be made along the way.
I have been studying with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS) and in November 2017 obtained the Higher Certificate in Genealogy. I am an Associate Member of AGRA(Association of Genealogy and Researchers in Archives).
I am also a member of the Society of Genealogy in London (SoG) ; West Surrey Family History Society and Sussex Family History Group. Based in Woking, Surrey I am ideally based for easy access to theSurrey History Centre, The National Archives (TNA) in Kew, the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA), The Society of Genealogists (SoG) and other London Archives and also with easy reach of Sussex.

Many thanks for doing all this research – it look like a lot more than a day’s work! Your report is very interesting. So there were actually 4 in the Kelly family we didn’t know of!
The Smith family are much more difficult to track down and you’ve done a great job getting so far. I’ll sift through your report and see what more I can do, but it may be that we’ve taken it as far as is reasonable with such a common surname.
Many thanks again

Many thanks! I'm so excited to receive your report - which I need to digest! And wait for it - I'd quite like my father's army records before and after WW2 as well … IF you would be happy to dig into his army life?
