I was immediately impressed by your enthusiasm when I asked you to help me find out the origin of my foreign name.  Within barely of week of my sending you my grandfather's birth certificate you had produced a family tree on my father's side going back to my ancestor who settled in England from Germany in the 18th Century.  Your curiosity about the past and genuine interest in the way that records shine a light on the lives of our forebears are infectious, so we also discovered that one of my ancestors met an unfortunate end.  Well done for revealing those fascinating pieces of family history for me!
