At the Spring Study Day at Ely, AGRA President Patric Dickinson took the opportunity to formally present Gill Thomas with a certificate recognising her new status as AGRA Fellow. The award was made to honour  her services to AGRA. Gill has contributed to the Association over many years, in many roles, most notably her work within the External Engagement Committee, and of course, her time as Chair.

The Fellowship award was first announced at AGRA's AGM which was held earlier in the month. The awarding citation reads “She has made a prolific contribution to not only AGRA as
a collective organisation, but also to AGRA’s professional and public image. Her energy,
engagement, and forward thinking approach has made (and continues to be) a real difference
to the organisation”. Gill responded by saying that she felt honoured to be part of such august
company, and it had been extremely personally rewarding and stimulating, and encouraged
others to volunteer.
