I aim to provide a friendly, engaging service, opening up clients' curiosity about their family history. I will help fill out a family's social history as well as their genealogy.
I offer a mixture of fixed price work but also more bespoke research at an hourly rate. I am also close to the National Archives in Kew. I have been successful in tracing distant branches of a person's family tree and locating living relatives.
I am a qualified lawyer with a masters degree in business administration, and a former senior Whitehall civil servant. I am currently studying with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies.

"My late father rarely spoke of his family and managed to create a cloud of mystery and inconsistency when he did. Nick uncovered unexpected detail very quickly, with options for further exploration. It has been wonderful to have my long-held curiosity satisfied, and fascinating into the bargain. Highly recommended."
I am absolutely delighted with Nick’s work on my family tree. He took a detailed approach, providing great evidence. The work was really well presented, with a great narrative telling the story of my family through the ages. He even hunted down references to a great uncle who had died at sea in the first world war and locating a memorial that included his name, and the cemetery where another relative was buried. Great work, and a great guy to deal with. Would highly recommend him.”
"Nick’s advice and ability to make sense of all manner of documents and information sources has been invaluable in tracing my family history. He has steered me back to 1842 and Ireland - providing evidence and answers to family myths along the way - the presentation of the information has been easy to follow but professional and comprehensive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nick’s services."
