I am a professional genealogist who has spent more than two decades researching family history.

My previous life as a journalist, mainly with the BBC, taught me the importance of thorough research and the checking of sources, things that are vital in genealogy. I have researched widely in archives across the country, hunting out the information that you just won't find online. 

As well as researching your family tree I can, as an experienced writer produce a narrative history of your forbears, helping to bring your ancestors back to life. This will place your acestors in the context of the times in which they lived using sources such as old newspapers and cland & legal documents.

I have never loist the sense of excitement I get when I start a new piece of research, not knowing what great stories and events I might uncover. Each client gets my personal attention including regular updates while work is in progress.
